Vicky – Family Project Coordinator & Maternity Services Lead

Vicky’s connection to Home‑Start Colchester, Jaywick & Clacton began long before she joined the staff team. Inspired by the support she received, and wanting to give back to other families, Vicky trained as a Home‑Start volunteer, spending several years providing compassionate, practical support to parents in their own homes.

It was during her time as a volunteer that Vicky realised she had found her true calling. When an opportunity arose to join the staff team, she applied and following a successful interview, Vicky became a Family Project Coordinator in April 2022.

Before joining Home‑Start, Vicky studied Business and Human Resources BA Hons degree and built a career in the HR sector. She now combines her professional skills with her lived experience of motherhood, bringing empathy, insight and a calm, reassuring presence to the families she supports.
